LEARN TO SKATE

In partnership with The John Dillon Skating School, Triboro runs a Learn to Skate program for kids 10 and under. Learn to Skate is designed for beginners and students that are looking to learn how to skate.
This clinic teaches basic skating skills through a progression of ability levels from beginner to intermediate. John Dillon’s Instructors will split the ice up into 4-6 sections, evaluate students and place them in the appropriate group.
Each level builds on what they have learned in the previous level.

MOSQUITO HOUSE LEAGUE

Mites

Mite

For players 8 and younger, Mite hockey is a half ice program geared towards teaching your child the basics of hockey. Each Mite player receives three hours of ice a week, 2 practices and 1 game. Practices are station based, centered around fast-moving skills that promote fun and challenging opportunities to develop essential hockey skills.

Why Half Ice:

  1. More Puck Time
Smaller spaces mean more opportunity for a player to touch the puck - and ultimately improve their game.
  2. Age-appropriate training
By shrinking the ice down to their level, kids can get more involved and learn skills quicker and easier.
  3. Increased competition
A smaller ice surface makes players of all skill levels think and act quicker, resulting in more frequent battles for the puck.
